Our themes will take on a new form this year; each week will be given a fun theme that will be the base for all our activities for the week. We will run our daily schedule as planned but we will integrate the theme into each one, so instead of canoeing we will go on an Amazon River exploration. We will also celebrate the theme by cabin decorations, so if you have any decorations bring them along; the cleanest and best decorated cabin throughout the week will win a prize at the end of the week.
Week 1: Safari Week
Head Into the wild on one of the greatest adventures you could ever have at Camp Alexander. We will explore the wild and exciting “jungle” surrounding camp. There will be much to see and even more to do, we will explore the tree tops and traverse the timbers on wires. We will then take a trip to Devils Lake to explore some of their exciting trails and go Rock Climbing! You are in for a grand experience when you join us for Safari Week!

Week 2: Super Sports Week
There is a little athlete in all of us, weather its football, soccer or horse shoes, this is the week for you. We will have sports galore, new sports and old. We will even play some unique new games like Blango Ball. Then for all you baseball fans we will hit the road to see the Brewers in action. So put on your game face because it’s Super Sports Week at Camp Alexander

Week 3: Pirate Week
Avast me hardies, we shall set sail this week as we go back in time to when pirates roamed the world. We will cast off and see some of the sights on our grand lake Nepco, and there is sure to be buried treasure out thar. If ye are of the adventurous sort you can sign up to take the overnight canoe trip to camp on Buccaneer Island. Then we will head to where all pirates truly long to be, Riverview Water Park for a day of sun, slides and fun. Grab yar patches and sail in for Pirate Week!

Week 4: Around the World Week
(No Trip)
Have you ever been curious about other cultures, have you ever wanted to see some far off places, then this is the week for you. We will have some special guests to share their cultures with us, and we will take a trip around the world, to see some of the grandest sights. Bring your bike this week because you will get the chance to get off road and traverse some of camps best trails. For the truly brave, we will offer an overnight bike outing, which is sure to be an amazing experience.

Week 5: Hawaiian Week
Its time to get tropical! Its Hawaiian week and we are going to experience Hawaiian culture. We will get out on the “Ocean” and try to catch some waves with our faster, more exciting tube tours, and for those who can really hang ten you will get a chance to do some water skiing. Our trip will take us down a beautiful section of the Wisconsin River just south of Sauk City. Then, parents night will be one to remember; grass skirts, tiki torches and tons of laughs, as if that wasn’t enough, campers will get to be a part of the ancient Hawaiian “Ceremony of the Flame.”

Week 6: HOLLYWOODWeek
(Teen Week)
Every teen out there with a little superstar in them will have chance to perform in our annual talent show, singing contest and more. Have a taste for the big screen, you will get the opportunity to be in a short film of your creation and then learn how to edit and produce the film. At the end of the week campers will be able to take home a DVD of their movie to show friends and family. Plus, every movie star needs to get away from the spotlight sometimes, so this week you’ll get to head out to Noah’s Ark for the day. So, get ready for the red carpet because this week Hollywood comes to Camp Alexander!
